Just One More Adjustment, And A Tweak, And …

Tweaking Puzzle

It’s official – LeonardCohenSearch isn’t even online yet, and I’m already second guessing every decision I’ve made in its design.

For example, I think the theme template I’ve adopted and adapted is especially clean cut, functional, and easy on the eyes. If this theme were human, it would be the good-looking boy next door who makes As (and the occasional B to show he’s no grind), shovels snow from the neighbors’ sidewalk for free, marries the girl next door to him, and comes back home after college to open a highly profitable factory recycling sludge into solar powered iPhones.

Now, I’m not sure it’s right for LeonardCohenSearch.com.

It looks a bit cluttered. Perhaps an unadorned Googlesque page is the way to go. If I started from scratch, …

Anyway, multiply that ambivalence times the 26,342 elements I can tweak on this sort of site and you’ve got yourself a reasonable facsimile of my personal slough of existential angst.

But, if Leonard Cohen, an inveterate revisionist, can commit to recording that song or singing it at a concert after only a year or two of rewrites, I suppose I can can suck it up and declare a web site with a half-dozen pages open for business.
